Kevin Brown

Kevin “Chops” Brown earned a B.A. from Northwestern University’s School of Communication, where he studied Radio/TV/Film. While at NU, he performed with Boomshaka for four years and co-directed the group for two. He currently plays drums throughout Chicago with various theater companies and musical projects. When not performing, he works in the Performance Programs department at the Museum of Contemporary Art and as a Teaching Artist with Urban Gateways and Old Town School of Folk Music. He plans to return to his hometown of San Diego, CA upon retirement from a long and fruitful career of gigging/starving in Chicago.
