Lori Buchanan

Lori Buchanan jumped into the Chicago dance and theatre scene after graduating from Northwestern University with a degree in Theatre. During her time at NU, Lori was proud member of Boomshaka, serving as co-artistic director for two years. She was also heavily involved with the dance department, performing as a featured dancer in two Danceworks concerts. She also fostered a love of all things theatre, including (but not limited to) choreography, circus, and set design. In addition to Be the Groove, Lori is an apprentice with Striding Lion Performance Group and is starting a mini-career as a freelance makeup artist and graphic designer. When it’s warm enough, you can find her on Lake Michigan as a sailing instructor at Chicago Sailing.
