Nicole Pellegrino

Director of Educational Development

A Northwestern Theatre graduate and Boomshaka alum, Nicole is a proud ensemble member and teaching artist for Be The Groove.  Nicole likes jumping, climbing, hitting things, beats, and moving with purpose.  When not trying to figure out rhythms before she has been taught them, Nicole is an actor, teacher, and circus artist.  Recent Chicago credits include work with Drury Lane, Lifeline, Victory Gardens, The New Colony (as Amelia Earhart: Jungle Princess), and Griffin Theatre.  Nicole teaches theatre and improv with Lookingglass and AfterSchoolMatters respectively, and has studied at Chicago’s iO Theatre.  She is also a performing aerialist and contortionist with the Actors Gymnasium, where she teaches circus arts and dance.  Nicole loves her family and Be the Groove very much and is looking forward to the exciting and “edgy” year ahead.
