Tarah Ortiz

Tarah Ortiz may have started dancing in elementary school, but did not truly find the groove until much later in life. Trained in everything from ballet to acrobatics, it was not until Northwestern University’s Boomshaka that she learned to explore what rhythm creates in dance, movement, music, and life. She is now extremely excited to continue that exploration with Be the Groove. While not grooving, she spends her time working in Arts Education as both an administrator and a dance teacher. Tarah’s goal is to spread the arts throughout the Chicago area through classes and performances, and she hopes to find you in a Be the Groove audience soon!
